GERMANY/FRANCE PAVILION
With two countries forming one pavilion, E4 brings to you a European cultural display with the magic of Germany as well as France.
German culture began long before the rise of Germany as a nation-state and spanned the entire German-speaking world. From its roots, culture in Germany has been shaped by major intellectual and popular currents in Europe, both religious andsecular. Historically Germany has been called Das Land der Dichter und Denker (the country of poets and thinkers).
France, on the other hand have played an important role as a center of high culture and of decorative arts since the 17th century, first in Europe, and from the 19th century on, world wide. From the late 19th century, France has also played an important role in cinema, fashion and cuisine. The importance of French culture has waxed and waned over the centuries, depending on its economic, political and military importance.
